  Around the turn of the century I came over to Holy Trinity and it is my family. We have a wonderful mix of people: American, Russian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Romanian, German, Finnish, Irish American, Etiopian, etc. We are an alive community which follow the Traditions of the Orthodox Church. We worship in English and in Church Slavonic and from time to time we also use other languages for the benefit of those who love the other languages. Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church is family to me.
  
  I came to the parish as a tonsured Reader and when it was announced that I will be ordained a deacon, the people were thrilled and extremely supportive. I look forward to Sunday's Liturgy and the meal after the Liturgy and to the various activities that we have during the year.
  
  Most important, we try to live the Gospel. We truly live what we pray: "Let us love one another so that with one mind we may profess the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, the Trinity one in essence and undivided." If you are not a Christian, you probably will not even begin to understand this.

  Was very hollow and empty as befits a church with wrong understanding. The preacher was talking about how this life is only a preparation for the next eternal life, far away from the teaching of christ that the kingdom is here and now. The man was actually pretty scary almost stereotypically yelling about the fires of hell. It was not enlightening but creepy. When Christ taught hordes of people followed. When these people speak their churches become empty and with good reason.
