  • I have been watching your masses since a little before Easter this year. I have enjoyed them very much. Also the sermons are very meaningful. I also have known Bishop Flaherty his whole life, so maybe I’m a little biased. He is and always has been a joy to be around and is a very thoughtful and caring person.

  • Very dedicated Bishop and Pastor to whom I owe a myriad of apologies for pre-judging. Excellency, I beg your pardon. Forgive my stupidity. The Good Bishop holds several degrees including a M Div from St. Mary's Seminary. I have known his Excellency for several years. He took his Deaconal training under my guidance. He was superb. I wish to take exception with "Lou S's" comments. First my dear Brother, you are wrong. If you trace Catholic Holy Orders back to Cardinal Barbarini, a Roman Catholic Cardinal, you will see that we Independent and Old Catholic Clergy have absolutely valid Sacraments. In fact, for the first time in Church History, a Pope (Francis) invited the Old Catholic Bishops from Utrecht, Holland to a meeting in the Vatican. So things are in the works to unite all of the Catholic Communions Louis. Look at the famous Polish National Catholic Churches. Every week they are packed with Polish worshippers. I have been ordained since 1982 and have gotten to many of the faithful, fallen away and disenfranchised Catholics who were denied Sacraments because envelopes were not kept up to date and other stupid decisions. With the help and grace of Almighty God, in all these years I have Baptized hundreds of Babies and adults too, married hundreds of Catholics who were divorced and did not have the money for the Diocesan Tribunal and therefore were unable to get an Annulment. Many did not want the very long wait until a decision was reached. I could go on and on. Hundreds of our Bishops and Priests are scattered throughout the Country (and beyond), and these Clerics are working very hard without any pay to reach out to the person or persons who have been rejected by that ROMAN Catholic Church. Make no mistake, we are all under the Holy Father and mention him in the Celebration of Mass. We mostly follow his promulgation's. We all are required to have Apostolic Succession and prove in writing that our lineage can be traced back to Saint Peter. I have mine in my Office and it is a fascinating document of many pages. So Bishop Flaherty, me and most all of the other Independent Catholics are doing the will of Almighty God. So Lou, by looking for the splinter in our eyes, you are missing the whole point. Get educated and learn the history of Old Catholics and Independent Catholics. God richly bless you. +++Bishop (Ret) Miller, UCC

Don't put Catholic in your title if you don't believe or adhere to the dogmas of the Church. You cant cherry pick what you want to believe. There's nothing Catholic about this "church" at all.
