Paradise is it truly lost, is their not beauty even during the winter frost, mild showers of autumn rain, or the summer blaze, the blossoming of spring life from the earth that flowers raise the gentle breeze of air as it brushes across green blades of grass calm waters that become tides of waves that crash from the rocks to the shores of desert like sands do such things not go hand and hand from hot fiery sunny days as the sun shines to those cool peaceful and glimmering moonlit nights from white clouds and blue skies to dark clouds and dark nights clear visible skies of star light that radiantly shines bright as if heaven and earth have become one as the wind blows upon pedals of star maples carrying with it a scent that can be described as a sweet of a bliss as true loves first kiss, Is it eden i seek ?,a place of beauty ? is that paradise or is it total peace an alignment of the mind body and spirit ? is it a merging of energy essence enlightening the path between you and i ? or as some would say is it found during romantic pleasure at the point of an orgasmic release when energies peak that the heavens open to us is this paradise two halves made whole as yin is to yang as opposite energies attract are we the light from those candles or merely the mirror reflecting it back two flames dancing moving as one in perfect harmony is it to be exact to say at that moment twin flames ignite senses stimulate with sacred sensations as our souls emulate redefining that what we call love is it at that very instant when ephemerality becomes eternity that through holy union we illuminate

  • Have never been inside, but the facade is striking. Great bus stop for the Eleven and the Three to Towson. Short walk to the Twenty-seven and the Ninty-eight Hampden Shuttle on Remington. Many more. Stand here a lot. Sit on the steps. Seems safe.

  • I've been attending Saints Philip and James for the past couple of years after a year-long search of city parishes. The community here is very welcoming of everyone and when I attend mass I feel like I see a cross-section of Baltimore. The Dominicans that staff the church are wonderful preachers; not only delivering the message, but living it. There are wonderful opportunities in this parish to learn more about the faith and give back to the local community. This is also the University parish for Hopkins, so there is a nice influx of students, which along with young families gives the parish a youthful feel. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!!

  • This parish welcomes all, from the unwashed poverty stricken, to the well to do. And it treats us all the same. They offer multiple masses/confession and other sacraments as well as meetings for the students. They need our support, physically, financially, and spiritually. I do the best I can and implore you all to do the same. The takeaway is the opportunity to meet like-minded people and spiritual guidance and growth. I am just a simple sinner, but I support them to the best of my ability, and hope everyone else will do the same. God Bless you all, John.
